Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
HA MIM. 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah the Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom. 2 Indeed, within the heavens and earth are signs for the believers. 3 And in the creation of yourselves and of the beasts that He hath scattered over the earth, are signs unto a people who are convinced. 4 And in the succession of night and day, and in the means of subsistence which God sends down from the skies, giving life thereby to the earth after it had been lifeless, and in the change of the winds: [in all this] there are messages for people who use their reason. 5 These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you with the truth; so forsaking Allah and His signs, what will they believe in? 6 Woe to every guilty impostor 7 He hears the verses of Allah recited to him and then, as though he never heard them, persists in insolence. Give to him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 8 And when he cometh to know aught of Our revelations, he taketh it scoffingly. These! theirs shall be a torment ignominous; 9 Before them is Hell; naught will avail them of that which they earned, nor those whom they took for patrons beside Allah. Theirs shall be a torment mighty. 10 This (Quran) is a guidance. And those who disbelieve in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, for them there is a painful torment of Rijz (a severe kind of punishment). 11
