It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 Behold! when the two receivers receive - one on the right hand and one on the left a sitter. 17 Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 His (angelic) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready". 23 "Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told), 24 “The one who excessively prevented from virtue, the transgressor, the doubtful.” 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 God will say, "Do not quarrel in My presence. I gave you the warning beforehand 28 The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves." 29
