And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein 16 [And so,] whenever the two demands [of his nature] come face to face, contending from the right and from the left, 17 There is not a word he utters but an observer is ready (to make note of it). 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given). 20 And every soul came, along with a herder and a witness. 21 Assuredly thou wast in neglect thereof; now We have removed from off thee thy veil, so thy sight Today is piercing. 22 His (angelic) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready". 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ His companion (Satan devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgress, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray." 27 [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. 28 The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves. 29
