Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 and the burden-bearers 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 and the partitioners, 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
