Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 and the partitioners, 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
