Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
