Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (i.e. burnt) over the Fire! 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 And in your own selves; so can you not perceive? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur'an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
