Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 and the smooth runners 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
