Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 and the smooth runners 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Woe to the liars 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
