Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
