Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
