Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? 24 When they came in unto him and said: peace! he said: peace! people unknown. 25 Then he went back to his family and brought a fat roasted calf 26 And he set it before them, and said: wherefore eat ye not? 27 He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. 28 His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" 29 They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing." 30 ۞ [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" 31 They answered: "Behold, we have been sent unto a people lost in sin, 32 So as to let loose clods of clay on them 33 Marked by thy Lord for (the destruction of) the wanton. 34 So We brought the believers out of that they were in. 35 but We found only one Muslim house. 36 And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty. 37 AND IN [the story of Pharaoh and] Moses, too, [We left the same message: for] when We sent him unto Pharaoh with [Our] manifest authority, 38 Then he turned away with his court, and said: a magician or a madman. 39 So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy. 40 And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: 41 It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. 42 And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. 43 But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; so they were destroyed by a thunderbolt, and they could only gape, 44 They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. 45 (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 46
