With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace. 47 And We made the earth a base, so how well do We lay out! 48 And We created all things in pairs, so that you may ponder. 49 Therefor flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from him. 50 And set not up another god with Allah; verily I am unto you from Him a warner manifest. 51 Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman." 52 Did they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people. 53 Then turn your back upon them for you are not to blame; 54 Keep on reminding them. This benefits the believers. 55 I have not created mankind and jinn except to worship Me. 56 I desire from them no provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. 57 It is God Who is the Sustainer and the Lord of invincible strength. 58 The evildoers shall have for their portion, a portion like their companions (who were destroyed before them). Therefore, they should not ask Us to hasten! 59 woe, then, to those who are bent on denying the truth, when the Day arrives which they have been promised. 60
