Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
