AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer. 48 and We created pairs of all things so that you might reflect. 49 And so, [O Muhammad, say unto them:] "Flee unto God [from all that is false and evil]! Verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him! 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 Even so there came no messenger unto those before them but they said: A wizard or a madman! 52 What! Have they willed this utterance to one another? In fact they are a rebellious people. 53 (Muhammad), leave them alone and you will not be blamed. 54 And continue to remind, for surely the reminder profits the believers. 55 We have created jinn and human beings only that they might worship Me. 56 [But withal,] no sustenance do I ever demand of them, nor do I demand that they feed Me: 57 Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might. 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 And woe unto those who disbelieve, from (that) their day which they are promised. 60
