۞ There may be countless angels in heaven, but their intercession will be of no avail until God has given permission to those whom he chooses and accepts. 26 Verily those who believe not in the Hereafter name the angels with the names of females. 27 and [since] they have no knowledge whatever thereof, they follow nothing but surmise: yet, behold, never can surmise take the place of truth. 28 Therefore shun those who turn away from Our Message and desire nothing but the life of this world. 29 That is all they have of knowledge. Your Lord knows best who has strayed from His Path, and those who are guided. 30 To God belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, that He may requite those who do evil, in accordance with their deeds, and those who do good with good. 31 Those who stay away from grave sins and indecency (should know that) for their trivial sins your Lord's forgiveness is vast. He knows best about you. When He created you from the earth and when you were embryos in your mother's wombs. Do not consider yourselves very great. God knows best who is the most righteous person. 32
