So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
