(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 while you make merry? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
