To the People of Pharaoh, too, aforetime, came Warners (from Allah). 41 The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or do they say: "We acting together can defend ourselves"? 44 Certainly the host shall be routed, and turn their backs. 45 Surely the Hour will be the moment of their promise, and that moment will be calamitous and distressing. 46 Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness. 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 We command but once: Our will is done in the twinkling of an eye; 50 And assuredly We have destroyed your likes; so is there any one who shall be admonished? 51 All their deeds are recorded in their books: 52 Every small or great deed is written down. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. 55
