Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or they say, “We shall all take revenge as a group.” 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 The evil-doers are indeed sunk in error and folly -- 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 Surely We have created everything according to a measure. 49 We command but once: Our will is done in the twinkling of an eye; 50 And verily We have destroyed your fellows; but is there any that remembereth? 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 And every small and great thing is recorded. 53 The pious ones will live in Paradise wherein streams flow, 54 Seated in an assembly of the Truth, in the presence of Allah, the Omnipotent King. 55
