The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 they, too, gave the lie to all Our messages: and thereupon We took them to task as only the Almighty, who determines all things, can take to task. 42 Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 The evil-doers are indeed sunk in error and folly -- 47 on the Day when they are dragged into the fire on their faces, it will be said to them, "Now feel the touch of Hell!" 48 Indeed, all things We created with predestination. 49 And Our Order is but one word like the flashing of an eye. 50 And We destroyed those like you, is there any that will remember! 51 And everything they have done is in the writings. 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers, 54 In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. 55
