The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 What, are your unbelievers better than those? Or have you an immunity in the Scrolls? 43 Or do they say: "We are a well-accoutred army?" 44 Soon shall the hosts be routed, and they shall turn (their) backs. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 And Our Order is but one word like the flashing of an eye. 50 And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? 51 And every thing they did is in the scriptures, 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 in the seat of truth with an all-powerful sovereign. 55
