The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created the human 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon run on their fixed courses (exactly) calculated with measured out stages for each (for reckoning, etc.). 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And the earth, He has set it for living creatures; 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 He is the Lord of the East and West through all seasons. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
