▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
For any who fears to stand before his Lord are two Gardens. 46 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 47 These Gardens will abound in green, blooming branches. 48 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 49 In which, will be two fountains running. 50 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 51 In which are fruits of all kinds, each of two varieties. 52 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 53 [In such a paradise the blest will dwell,] reclining upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruit of both these gardens will be within easy reach. 54 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 55 Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. 56 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 57 As (lovely as) rubies and as (beautiful as) coral. 58 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 59 Can the reward of goodness be any other than goodness? 60 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 61 And beside the two there will be two other Gardens. 62 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 63 green, green pastures -- 64 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 65 In which will be two fountains gushing forth. 66 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 67 In which will be the fruit, date-palms and pomegranates. 68 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 69 In them are goodly things, beautiful ones. 70 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 71 Houris (beautiful, fair females) restrained in pavilions; 72 jinn and mankind - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 73 Untouched before them by man or jinni - 74 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 75 [They will live in such a paradise] reclining upon green cushions and the finest carpets. 76 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 77 Blessed be the Name of thy Lord, majestic, splendid. 78
