The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 there is no denying its coming 2 some shall be abased and others exalted. 3 When the earth is shaken with a shock 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 And ye are classes three. 7 So those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 A number of the earlier peoples, 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Youths of never-ending bloom will pass round to them 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 Like pearls within their shells, 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 And clustered plantains, 29 And shade extended 30 and waters gushing, 31 And fruit in plenty 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 And on couches or thrones, raised high. 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For those of the right hand. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
