The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 There is about its happening no lie. 2 (a calamitous Event) that shall turn things upside down: 3 When the earth is shaken up convulsively, 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 You shall then become three groups. 7 Those on the right hand; how happy shall those on the right hand be! 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 Who will be honoured 11 in the Gardens of Delight 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 And a few from the latter. 14 On lined couches, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers – and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk nor any sinful speech. 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 [They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit laden lote-trees, 28 and serried acacias, 29 And spreading shade, 30 And water everflowing. 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 unfailing and not forbidden. 33 And raised couches. 34 Lo! We have created them a (new) creation 35 and made them virgins, 36 loving and of equal age. 37 For those on the right. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
