The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth is shaken with a shock 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 In the gardens of bliss. 12 a host of the ancients 13 and only a few of them from the later generations. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 Like unto hidden pearls, 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 And those on the right – how (fortunate) are those on the right! 27 They shall be in the midst of thornless lote trees, 28 Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,- 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 Gushing water, 31 and abundant fruits, 32 never-ending and unrestricted, 33 And exalted thrones. 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 And made them virgins, 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38
