A large group from the earlier generations. 39 And a multitude of those of later time. 40 And those on the left hand: What of those on the left hand? 41 In scorching wind and scalding water 42 and under the shadow of black smoke, 43 Neither cool nor beneficial. 44 and before that they lived at ease, 45 And used to persist in the awful sin. 46 And they used to say, "What! when we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised up again?- 47 and perhaps, too, our forebears of old?" 48 Tell them, (O Prophet): “The earlier ones and the later ones 49 Shall most surely be gathered together for the appointed hour of a known day. 50 Then you, the erring ones and those that gave the lie to the Truth, 51 Will be eating from trees of zaqqum 52 and will have to fill your bellies therewith, 53 and shall drink boiling water on top of that. 54 Drinking even as the camel drinketh. 55 Such shall be your hospitality on the Day of Recompense. 56 We have created you, then why would you not confirm it? 57 Have you ever considered that [seed] which you emit? 58 Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator? 59 We have destined death for you and no one can challenge Us 60 from replacing you by others like yourselves or changing your forms and re-creating you in forms that you know nothing of. 61 And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises? 62 Have you considered the soil you till? 63 Is it you or We Who make them grow? 64 If We so wished, We could have reduced your harvest to rubble, and you would have been left wonder-struck to exclaim: 65 That, “We have indeed been penalised!” 66 "Nay, but we are deprived!" 67 Consider the water that you drink. 68 Is it ye who shed it from the raincloud, or are We the Shedder? 69 If We pleased, We would have made it salty; why do you not then give thanks? 70 So what is your opinion regarding the fire which you kindle? 71 Is it you that produce the trees for it, or are We the producers? 72 We! it is We Who made it a reminder and a provision unto the campers. 73 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 74

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
