a large group of the earlier people 39 And a multitude of those of later time. 40 Those on the Left: how unfortunate are those on the Left! 41 They will live amid the scorching, 42 scalding water and under a shadow of black smoke, 43 Nothing (will there be) to refresh, nor to please: 44 Surely they were before that made to live in ease and plenty. 45 and persisted in heinous sins. 46 and would say: "What! After we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 47 Will our ancient forefathers be resurrected too? 48 Say thou: verily the ancients and those of later generations: 49 "All will certainly be gathered together for the meeting appointed for a Day well-known. 50 and then, verily, O you who have gone astray and called the truth a lie, 51 will eat from the fruit of the tree of Zaqqum, 52 filling your bellies with it; 53 and shall drink boiling water on top of that. 54 drink it as the most insatiably thirsty camels drink!" 55 This shall be their entertainment on the Day of Judgement. 56 We have created you: why then do you not accept the truth? 57 Have you seen sperm? 58 Is it you that create it or are We the creators? 59 We have decreed death to you all, and We are not unable, 60 that We will change you and cause you to grow again in a way you do not know. 61 And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember? 62 Have ye seen that which ye cultivate? 63 Is it you that make it grow, or are We the Grower? 64 If We pleased, We should have certainly made it broken down into pieces, then would you begin to lament: 65 crying, "We have been left to suffer loss. 66 Indeed, we have been deprived of the fruits of our labour." 67 Consider the water that you drink. 68 Is it you who sent it down from the clouds or is it We who have sent it down? 69 Were it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks? 70 Have you considered the fire you kindle? 71 Is it you who have brought into being the tree that serves as its fuel - or are We the cause of its coming into being? 72 It is We who have made it as a reminder and a means of comfort for the people. 73 Then glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
