۞ No! I swear by the positions of the stars – 75 and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew – 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 None shall touch it save the purified ones. 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 then for him there shall be comfort and plenty and a Garden of Bliss; 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Verily, this is indeed the truth of truths! 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
