۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
