Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Blessed be He in whose Hand is the Kingdom, He is powerful over all things, 1 Who hath created life and death that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 2 [And] who created seven heavens in layers. You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency. So return [your] vision [to the sky]; do you see any breaks? 3 Yea, turn thy vision [upon it] again and yet again: [and every time] thy vision will fall back upon thee, dazzled and truly defeated. 4 We have adorned the lowest sky with lamps, and made them missiles against the devils, for whom We have prepared a torment of most intense fire. 5 The chastisement of Hell awaits those who disbelieve in their Lord. What a wretched destination! 6 When they are thrown into hell, they will hear its roaring while it boils. 7 It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?" 8 They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, 'Allah never sent down any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!'" 9 They also say, 'If we had only heard, or had understood, we would not have been of the inhabitants of the Blaze.' 10 Then they will confess their sin. So, away with the dwellers of the blazing Fire. 11 Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and great reward. 12 And keep your opinion secret or proclaim it, lo! He is Knower of all that is in the breasts (of men). 13 Should He not know,- He that created? and He is the One that understands the finest mysteries (and) is well-acquainted (with them). 14
