He it is, Who has made the earth subservient to you (i.e. easy for you to walk, to live and to do agriculture on it, etc.), so walk in the path thereof and eat of His provision, and to Him will be the Resurrection. 15 Have ye taken security from Him Who is in the heaven that He will not cause the earth to swallow you when lo! it is convulsed? 16 Or are ye secure that He Who is in the heaven will not send against you a whirlwind? Anon ye shall know what wise hath been My warning. 17 And indeed those before them had denied – therefore how did My rejection turn out! 18 Do they not observe the birds above them, spreading their wings and folding them? None, except the Merciful holds them. Surely, He sees all things. 19 Who is he besides the Most Beneficent that can be an army to you to help you? The disbelievers are in nothing but delusion. 20 Who is there to give you food in case He withholds His bounty? Yet they persist in rebellion and aversion. 21 Is then one who walks headlong, with his face grovelling, better guided,- or one who walks evenly on a Straight Way? 22 Say: “He it is Who has brought you into being, and has given you hearing and sight, and has given you hearts to think and understand. How seldom do you give thanks!” 23 Say, "It is He who has scattered you on the earth; and it is to Him that you shall all be gathered [on the Day of Resurrection]. 24 They say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak truly?' 25 Say: 'The knowledge is with God; I am only a clear warner.' 26 But when they will behold it proximating sad will be the countenances of those who disbelieve, and it will be said: this is that which ye have been calling for. 27 Say: 'What think you? If God destroys me and those with me, or has mercy on us, then who will protect the unbelievers from a painful chastisement?' 28 Say, "He is the Most Gracious: we believe in Him and we put our trust in Him. You will soon come to know who is in evident error." 29 Say: 'What do you think. If your water should sink into the earth in the morning, who then would bring you running water' 30
