No, by the moon! 32 and the night when it retreats 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 About the guilty: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 Till death overtook us. 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
