Nay! By the moon 32 by the retreating night, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning unto humankind 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 about the guilty ones: 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
