Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 a warning to humans, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 about the sinners. 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until death approached us". 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
