By no means! By the moon, 32 and the night when it retreats 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
