Nay! By the moon 32 By the night when it departs. 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 in Gardens they will question 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
