▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 A warning to mankind, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 about the sinners. 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
