Nay, by the Moon 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 About the criminals, 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
