Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
