Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 and the severally severing 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
