Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed time? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
