Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 storming tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for an appointed term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
