Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 and the severally severing 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
