Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known extent. 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
