Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
