Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
