In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
