Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
